Just stumbled across this page with so many gorgeous photographs by Mark Seliger, some of which I'd never even seen before (the young Johnny Depp ones are really different). If you have the time, go check them out. Seliger is probably one of the best photographers around.

It's nice, but he loves that particular brick wall with wooden floor a little too much. It reappears so often that you start to think that's all he knows!
Personally, I prefer Mario Testino and Patrick Demarchelier for fashion and Anton Corbijn for celebrity photos. And some other of which I once again can't remember the name of.

Ah, but the brick wall are actually shots that are not commissioned. It's his own balcony/roof garden thing, and all those photographs are very different in style and feel from the commissoned works, which are more glossy and play around with concepts and props more. There's this awesome double-shot of David Bowie, one in colour and the other out on the attic thing; and in the coloured one he looks absolutely regal, while in the other one there's just a depth of emotion to it that's stunning.
I like Corbijn, but I don't think he manages to capture every type of person.
