Weekend Update
Friday night Adam and I went into the city to visit my grandparents. Since having leg surgery my Grandpa can't really drive so we went to see them. They took us to Jolly Inn which is a Polish smorgasboard! It was excellent. The food is so heavy though so one person can only eat so much. I had a plate and a half and Adam had about the same. I ate potato pancakes, white fish, pierogi, blintzes and more. It was very yummy but I am glad to say that I have only been there once in 5 years...that place will make you obese in no time. But never the less it was great food. :) Then we came back here around 8 and make some chocolate chip cookies which were also yummy. :) We attempted to watch a movie but I was tired and Adam was exhausted so he left kinda early since I had to work at 9 am. Then Saturday after working 9-1 I went up to Keno to visit with Adam and his parents. Adam and I hit up the Kenosha museum since it's free and we were curious. They had some pretty cool stuff in there...mammoth bones, stuffed wild animals, photo gallery and a really cool gift shop. Adam got me this Egyptian scarab bracelet which I LOVE and we also got ourselves a magnet. We're already starting our own magnet collection for when we have our own fridge. :) Then we went to Cracker Barrel for dinner which was amazingly good and then Adam and I hit up Target to look for a birthday present for his Mom since her birthday is Wednesday. I already got her a froggy garden stake with little springie legs but we wanted to get her something else. We didn't find anything we really liked but of course I had to browse the Halloween stuff. ;) I wanted to buy the board game Operation because they had a Simpsons version and a Shrek version but Adam made me save my $ which was probably best anyways. Then we went back to his house and made some more choco chip cookies and watched part of Shrek on tv and then FBI Files which is amazing...like CSI only real. But I got too freaked out and Adam turned if off because I was already burying my face in his chest. Haha I'm such a wuss!!! Then today I left there around 1 hoping to beat any storms that were approaching since it rained THE WHOLE FREAKIN' DRIVE up there. I unpacked my bag and took Peaches outside for a bit, then did a little laundry. Now I'm working on a paper for class (sorta, as you can see) and just digesting dinner. That was my good weekend. :) Next weekend Adam's parents are coming down here to go to a steakhouse in Northbrook for his Mom's birthday and Adam and I are invited to go with so I'm sure that will be yummy. We also got to watch Rachel and Chris' wedding DVD which was really nice. The video was taken by a friend of the family so it's kinda jumpy in some spots and hard to hear but a good rememberance none the less. They even put the slide show in there that was played at the wedding with all their baby pics and such. Very cute. :) Ok that's it for now.
