Vent
Ok so here's my complaint: My 85 year old Grandpa is having surgery tomorrow (Thursday) and I want to go see him afterwards...the issue is, my Mom says to me today "We're going to see him on Friday after I get off of work since I have a half day...we probably won't be back until late since I don't want to drive home in rush hour...if you don't see Adam for one night it won't kill you to give that up." 1st of all, I am not 5 years old and no one tells me "this is what you're doing and this is how you're going to do it and why". I AM 22!!!! An adult as last I can recall. 2nd, I DON'T want to give up a night with Adam. We see each other limitedly as it is and I am NOT giving that up for anyone or anything. It's funny how I don't even get asked if it's ok to go see him on Friday afternoon...my Mom doesn't ask me, she just TELLS me. Doesn't ask if this is ok or if I have plans. She doesn't care, just assumes that she can tell me what to do. This really pisses me off. She does this ALL THE TIME and continues to do it. In her mind, she's the boss and whatever she says goes. Well guess what? I don't take orders from anyone. If I could move outta here tomorrow I would but since I'm still in school till next spring, I can't because I can't work full time to pay for an apartment so I'm stuck. It's so frustrating!!! I just wish sometimes she'd take into consideration other people's feelings and schedules besides her own. And it's not that I don't want to go visit him because I do. My grandparents have done more for me my entire life than I could ever be able to thank them for. They are the reason I have my car--because they bought it for me and my sister brand new. I just wish that my Mom wasn't so bossy and "it's my way or no way" all the time. Damn it annoys me so much!!! Then she wonders why I get pissed off and yell at her and nothing gets solved...because she DOESN'T listen!!! UUUUGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!
