You can buy sodium acetate trihydrate in bulk from ebay (it's the flavour used for salt and vinegar crisps iirc), it's better than mixing your own from vinegar/bicarb.
You can also use it to make hot ice, which is also way cool.
Not sure where to get iodised salt in the UK though, they might sell it in sainsbury's.
