Okay so my mom and my sister left me all alone by myself yesterday morning at around 5:30 (meaning I got 2 hours of sleep before seeing them off). That evening Hurricane Charley came around and while it did little more than kill the ending to the episode of The Weakest Link that I was watching (via Emergency Broadcasts), it provided a spark of excitement to my otherwise boring and television driven day. We had a tornado warning for about an hour, and I contemplated hiding in the hall WC with a gameboy or something... then I realized I didn't have a gameboy and thought about getting a book. But instead I just washed my hands continuously for 45 minutes (that last part's not true, but I added it anyway because this entry is, by and large, incredibly boring). I emerged from the lack of wreckage to more television, and eventually sleep... anyone not seeing a pattern here can stay after class and clean the erasers.

Hmm... what else? Before they left I got to go to the mall one or two more times and bought this year's one pair of shoes. They're pretty swank. I call them my emo shoes because they look like the shoes an emo kid would wear on a day he wasn't wearing his black converse. By and large though, I think it's fair to say that my emo-ness is confined to the inside. So don't worry this won't become a thing... although I think it'd be cool if a few die-hard emo kids slipped in with the freshman class.

I spent seven hours today watching the world series of poker, sharpening my game through observation. Someday I shall compete and I shall win, and I shall become a household name like David Negreanu, Sammy Farha, David Lederer, and um... *ahem*

Lastly, Jerri Manthey from Survivor II is on Blind Date. What's particularly amusing is that this episode was filmed before she was shipped off to Australia to be, figuratively speaking, raped in the ass by the American public. God bless reality television in all its many incarnations.
