Hi all!
I'm here at my aunt's house visiting and catching up with her and my cousin because we haven't seen each other in about two years (maybe a bit longer). My cousin's set for redeployment to Iraq (his second and last trip) in late Jan. so we wanted to see him again before he left. :\
I had a wonderful time with
sayyida_jaida last weekend and week, so much so I didn't want it to end. Especially because for the next month it's going to be INSANE at work. *sigh* I cannot WAIT to quit that place. I decided to stay there until the end of March so I can take the extra month to pack my crap and get it moved into a storage unit. I just hope my landlord will extend my lease for just one month so I can do that. February is just too soon.
So April 1st I've decided is going to be my last day. Heh. My supervisor's going to go apeshit.
Hmmm... I desperately need a new phone, but I can't get one until January 4th (that's when I can renew my contract). You can bet that I'll be there right after work on the 4th. I don't want another flip phone, but I do want one with a good camera. I use my camera a LOT.
I went to Lane Bryant on Thursday night and bought just a few things. The lady there was so nice, she gave me a discount on everything. What would've cost me about $50 only cost me about $20. o_O I left thinking I should've gotten some more clothes!
I'm looking forward to Christmas this year because I got my mom this which she's been begging for for years. I never got her one before because a) they're friggin' expensive - the one I got her is the most basic model and b) while she cooks, she just doesn't bake so what's the point of getting her a mixer? I wanted to get her a red one to match her kitchen, but because she doesn't bake that much I couldn't see justifying getting a mixer that was twice as much just for a color. Ah well, anyway I broke down and got her one and she has NO clue. I can't wait to see her face. XD
