What's your definition of a friend.
America has used over 30 vetoes in the UN to prevent Israel being charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity.
America has therefore allowed 41 years of occupation.
Occupation has caused thousands of deaths, the imprisonment of an entire people and the displacement of millions.
In the past few weeks only……….
Occupation caused rockets on Sderot and the death of one man.
Occupation caused more than 120 deaths in Gaza in five days, 60 in just one day.
Occupation caused the deaths of 8 young Jewish men in Jerusalem.
Without America Israel would have to make peace in the region.
Without America there would be no occupation.
America consequently has responsibility for the death of all of the above.
Every American who doesn’t voice an objection to America’s role in the occupation is a collaborator in the occupation and in the continuation of the cycle of violence.
And to think there are those in America and in Israel who truly believe America are friends of Israel?!?!?
My definition of friends is clearly very different because my friends don’t lead me to murder, subjugate, persecute, steal, rape, terrorise, starve, humiliate, and abuse others and because my friends don’t lead me to inevitably destroy myself.
