The weekend.
We had a busy weekend with friend Joe's birthday party on Friday evening, meeting friends for lunch on Saturday afternoon, watching a Canadian stand up comedian on Saturday night and hiking on Sunday but it was all good and the weather was positively spring like which is nice but worrying.
Joe's party was great fun and as pizza is his favourite all time food it was something of a pizza fest. Who can resist pizza? Lunch was in the city and we settled for a big salad because there wasn't much on offer for vegans but it was very good all the same and it was great to catch up with friends. The Canadian comedian was excellent. In I believe time honoured tradition the bulk of his jokes were aimed at America and he did a brilliant George Dubya Bush impersonation that had us crying with laughter. Sunday we walked for miles and took a very tasty picnic which we enjoyed up in the hills with absolutely stunning views on such a clear day.
