Desperately Seeking Info:

Anyone who knows lots of Superman canon? I need to know anything at all you can give me about any connection between Lex and Kon - they ever talk? We ever see Lex's thoughts or reactions to Kon, anything at all he has to do with him? History? How did - everything happen?

Thanks muchly in advance.

Kon-El has been retrofitted in the DCU, like 4 times astrea9562 April 19 2004, 21:09:30 UTC
So basically? Do what you want. Straight fan-boys are just gonna get red in the face.

We had Kon-El in the Silver Age 60s in the Future 30th century Legion of Superheros. (super powered teens)

1st retro-fit, Supes was dead (tho not really - long story) Doc at Cadmus used all his own DNA and made Superboy clone. Lex was kinda dead at the time and we had a Lex II Australian son/clone - but was still really our Lex - long red hair in love/using a AU angelic Matrix re-introed Supergirl who merged with Linda Danvers - another reallllllly long story)

Don't even ask for pre and post Crisis history and the merging of all DCUs into one DCU. Heh.

Superboy then goes thru the goggles, etc. look, part of team Supes

Supes alive, Kal & Kon do their angsting. Supes names him Kon-El. Kon-El reluctantly takes on Connor Kent identity and poses as Clark's cousin fostered by the Kents and living in Clark's shadow at SV HS

Newest Teen Titans forms. Robin (Tim Drake - not Dick Grayson-Nightwing) discovers evidence showing that Cadmus professor who cloned Kon never was Kon's DNA donor and that Supes was and the other donor is LEX! Although using the word donor may yet be misnomers, obviously.

This is the *short* version (no, really! *g*) Of all the variations Kon-El aka Connor (with an 'o' not an 'e' - which annoys me no end as that is the WRONG spelling of Conner, but that *is* how DCU is spelling it!) Kent has lived.

Just get all the current TT's - the newest series. Issue 1 is in its 3rd reprint already and it's less than 6 months old as a new series.

IOW - you can play a *lot* in this sandbox.

That is highlit version. Hit top of page link for regular page without Google search words highlit. This is the Superman Homepage - lots of lovely stuff - including on our very own Smallville and the Justice League Animated series.

Yes, I am a life-long DC comic geek, why do you ask? *g*

Te and Shrift have written a lot of Connor/Tim slash and it's freakin' yummy stuff. *g*

You wanna do any, I promise to be a drooling fan-girl. ;)

{Hugs}

Reposted to correct and add - LJ is insane tonight! I had wanted to add that there have been no Lex and Kon interactions as yet in the new Teen Titan comic series.

Also, seeing as President Lex is just about *SPOILER ALERT* disposed of - although NEVER to be counted out as yet! - you can write what you want and ignore the rest.

ETA one more time for correction - sorri, hon!

Thank you, dear, that was incredibly helpful.

Re:Spelling, I've seen it done both ways in canon. So I'm still not sure much about anything.

Sadly, getting issues is not easy. Really not easy. :(

I've already written and done some things, posted about it. Dealing with the grandson is a lot of fun ;)

Thanks for the great links, I'm still reading!

Granted, I don't normally read the actual Superman titles, and I never read Superboy, but in Teen Titans, where the "Conner Kent" alias was introduced, I have ONLY seen the spelling "Conner," never "Connor."

My talking-out-my-arse guess is that that spelling was chosen to distinguish Kon from Connor Hawke, son of original Green Arrow Oliver Queen and, himself, the "other" Green Arrow.

Now you've got me wondering what, if any, Lois's canon reaction to/relationship with Kon has been. Because, you know, her attitude would have significant impact on how open Clark might be to getting it on with the boy he thinks is his clone...

Lois's canon reaction

Hmm, intersting.

I wonder how much Clark knows. Hm.
