I like all the performances and the studio version of this song. There was significance for all of them, but honestly the way he sang it for Idol Top 2 was unbelievable. I think my jaw was on the ground. I could've just turned off the TV right then and there, I was so blown away. After that I said to myself that he truly is the best singer to ever grace that stage or ever will, period IMHO.

The comments at the end were just plain awesome. Plus, of course, he looked stunning.

Completely agree. I had a tough time choosing between Top 2 and the LA tour date. Vocally the best was Top 2 IMO, but meaning-wise and performance-wise, I say LA tour date.

I couldn't agree more with your assessment, which is why I went with the vocally superior one. But for those who want to reminisce on #realness, here you go:

Yeah, I have a feeling that not everyone is voting for the vocally superior performance in all of these polls and go more for performance and meaning. A lot of my votes would be different if that were the case, but just this one time I decided to go with performance/meaning since it's such a powerful song. ;)

LOL I just rewatched/listened to this and you're right. It's a really tough decision. He was awesome in both for different reasons. The meaning/performance behind the Music Box show was so powerful. It was for Idol too, since he broke so many barriers as well when he was on. I guess we can assume that Adam will continually be breaking down barriers as his career progresses, each becoming more historically significant.

I for one can't wait!

Not to mention he was incredibly gorgeous in each performance, so that makes it even more difficult to choose, hahahahaha. :D I definitely agree with what you said though - I have no doubt he'll continue pushing buttons and knocking down prejudices and previously-held assumptions and keep things fresh and entertaining. That's why we love him!

Yeah, I agree. I still get all verklempt every time I watch this performance. While I thought the Music Box performance was really meaningful in a full-circle way, vocally and performance-wise, it didn't really do much for me.

What you said in the first comment...verbatim! Flawless (vocals) and gorgeous (visually).
