Aside from keeping busy with his own solo work, the honorary board member of Little Kids Rock has been known to pick, strum and rock a guitar for acts as big and diverse as Prong, Adam Lambert and Madonna.
On a day off from clubs and recording studios, Monte brought his ax, insight and good nature to East L.A.'s Belvedere Middle School, where he guided tomorrow's music legends on tools and tips of the trade. By offering his experience and know-how alongside Little Kids Rock, Monte fills a growing gap left by crippling cuts to California's music and arts education programs.
While it's true that good musicians never stop learning, Pittman's living proof that great musicians never stop teaching.
