Adam Lambert announced on twitter this evening that he'll be returning to the 'Idol' stage next week. Adam will perform an acoustic version of "Aftermath" on Thursday's results show (8pm ET on Fox).

A new remix of "Aftermath" (by Billboard) will be available for purchase on AdamOfficial.com immediately after the results show. "Billboard turns the song into a fresh new dance pop anthem to blast on the radio and in the clubs," Adam said.

"[“Aftermath”]...was written about finding the courage to be honest with yourself and the people who love you. It's about facing adversity and taking risks in the name of personal liberation. The song takes on different meanings to different listeners. I hope this song inspires people to be who they truly want to be... And dance!"

A portion of the proceeds from this new track will benefit The Trevor Project, the leading national organization focused on crisis and suicide prevention among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.

Its mission is to end suicide among LGBTQ youth by providing life-saving and life-affirming resources including our nationwide, 24/7 crisis intervention lifeline, digital community and advocacy/educational programs that create a safe, supportive and positive environment for everyone.

"Aftermath" was written by Adam, along with Alisan Porter, Ferras and Ely Rise and featured on Lambert's debut Album, For Your Entertainment.
