My plans for Valentine's Day got changed, which is fine. I'm totally cool with it. I've never had a date or done anything romantic on Valentine's Day this long, one more year or two won't hurt.
So when I found out I had no plans, and the radio station I listen to said they had some blind date contest, I sent in my pic and my crappy blind date story. Then I got an email back saying to send more pics and a bit more about me. When I got home this evening, the Breakfast Show's producer sent me a frantic letter:
"Whats your #? Need to call ya tonight, your in the top 5."
I answered the phone a few hours later and he said I'd have to go on the show this Friday morning and be really up beat as it was radio and peopl,e are listening etc. I told him I was on the radio getting a whole streetcar to sing the Brady Bunch theme. So... if my principal OKs it, I'll be on air and possibly win a blind date with some lass.
That would be pretty cool.
EDIT: Principal gave the OK, but was hesitant. I'm glad I didn't give up and just say "OK, I won't do it." to save her from a hard decision. I just let her mull it over. I was barely late to PD Day anyway.
