Alexander Cherry, author of the fabulous game Fastlane (it's like snorting cocaine off the back of a hooker while driving 130 mph in your Ferrari across the desert on I-40), is recovering from brain surgery (awesome scars, too). He has to deal with some annoying, mild cancer treatment to boot. Instead of going to GenCon as he'd planned, he's paying medical bills. A bunch of us folks, led by the peerless
gobi, are chipping in to pay his way there. You can help, too! Just go to
Fundable and pledge $10 or more to pitch in. He's just $150 from reaching his goal (he doesn't get a penny unless the goal $750 is met).
Helping other people makes you feel good.
Update: In the hour since I posted this, Alex has earned pledges for the rest. It looks like he's going! Yay! Thank you, everyone, for helping him out.
