D&D for non-Forge people

There's a cool thread called [D&D 3.5] Adjust my CA for this game! on the Forge, in which a newish poster lays it all down about his mostly-great D&D game and a bunch of regulars weigh in with opinions.

I tried to give it a chance, and I did respect that Ron very early on put a stop on what looked to evolve into "well, you're playing That Game Where You Kill Things And Take Their Stuff," but as with nearly any other Forge thread, I got really turned off by all the self-absorbed, self-referential jargon.

I'm confused, Kynn. All what jargon? I see some references to Creative Agenda and GNS stuff, but that was brought up by the person asking the question. I don't see a lot of other jargon in that thread, nor did it seem self-absorbed to me.

Can you show me some examples of what turned you off?

I just get really lost by the fact that the Forge seems to be a kind of meta-game about gaming, where everything is categorized and rulesified, in a way that obfuscates normal English conversation.

To repeat Adam's question: Can you point out some examples?
