Oh well, it's a good thing you're soo fast summing things up, thank you a lot, I'm still too disturbed to post about it. just adding a few thoughts.

*about TV crews: we switched on the TV a few minutes after 9.00PM, and M1's broadcast was cancelled, they probably get into some kind of shelter with the equipment. TV2 was apparently working with fixed cameras they seemed to leave behind by 9.15 PM, so yeah, RTL was the one remaining on site, but I don't know where they stuff was located. on the pics shown by TV2 there was no sign of people nearby. It was odd then, too, but now it seems even more incredible to me.
*It was all our luck not going there, altough I had a faint attempt in spite of my bad premonition of things, but S. was so reluctant to leave the flat, that we decided for watching snooker/reading IBM knowledge base...and see more in my latest entry.
*The last 2 times there was such a bad weather I had this feeling you described, too, but then I was in the eye of the storm opposite to MOM Park. It's a fabulous thing to see a storm from so near, but the first time (when Buda was flooded 3 weeks ago) I thought, "okay, this must be Moshiach or the prophet Eliyahu, how theatrical these guys can be, but, well, this world has come to an end, whatever."
