Happy Chinese New Year!
To those who celebrate it, Happy Chinese New Year!
Had a few phone conversations with the extended family - including a few stubborn ones who reacted
negatively when I came out to them. Most of them now SEEM to accept the reality that it is going to happen.
One wished me happy and be able to achieve my goal as the New Year wish. I know she's referring to
my transition although she doesn't say it. All of them avoided my male name. Another one just wished me health as the "most important" thing - yeah yeah yeah, as if happiness is second class. I could see her reluctance to accept judging on the tone. Oh well. I don't care. But I guess most of them are slooowly coming around - not too bad considering it was just a short time since I came out to them, huh?
