Hmm, haven't updated in a while.

First and foremost, let me just say that the Howard Shore concert was fantastic. The Royal Albert Hall was beautiful and the perfect setting for the symphony. The symphony was divided into six parts, two parts to each film. It was obvious that the second two films had slightly less attention paid to them (the Fellowship part of the symphony was much longer) but it was nevertheless a fantastic symphony that worked very well both as a companion to the soundtracks and a symphony on its own. It featured pretty much all the main themes from the films, the only noticeable absence for me being the second half of 'Foundations of Stone', which would have been amazing to hear live. That having been said, in the two or so hours the symphony ran for, all the major themes were covered and there were some great songs (Gollum's song and Into the West). The whole evening was superb and I think it was definitely worth the effort.

The next day we went to Museums and Harrods. A long but enjoyable day, and a good end to the trip.

Since then, there hasn't been much to talk about. I've been writing music and generally looking for work of the musical variety. I still haven't heard from Cyan Pictures, because Josh is in the Middle East, but I'm stil waiting on that. I'm also waiting on Zoetrope's comments on my demo, though that may be a while.

I may well be, in the meantime, scoring one or two short films. I just need to keep practicing and working on the music, and with any luck I'll get enough jobs to keep me busy.

Band practice tomorrow, and what I hope will be the start of our regular practicing.

I'm sure there is more to say, but I'm exhausted and need to go to bed. Goodnight.
