apple introduced their new product yesterday. the iPad. if you haven't heard of it you've probably been under a rock or something. it seems cool but i havent decided if its anything i would use. its basically a giant ipod touch. i was hoping for more stand alone capability.. specifically so i could use it as a computer ad sync my ipod/iphone to it instead of having to sync it to a computer... i'll see what its like and what it offers once it actually comes out in two months. maybe it will offer some use to me personally.
i am getting married this year. its totally a whole mess of feelings to grow up and get married and be responsible for everything myself (well, with andrea). i'm still learning and in awe of the whole thing. its amazing really.
i became an uncle recently as my sister had her first child. still haven't been invited to meet my nephew or heard anything from them except an announcement of his birth two days later with a text message.
i am going to cupertino, california for 3 weeks from february 15 till march 6. i will be away from the store for almost a whole month for training as there is at home study for the first few days and they gave me the days prior to it off. it will be a pc tech grow your own class meaning i come from a windows/pc repair background and completed in store training to move to the genius position despite actually being hired right into the genius position. ive been doing work as family room specialist working on ipods and iphones so it is fitting i suppose.
i did some upgrades to my old imac and my brand new mac mini (which i bought for andrea really so she could have a new computer to use). the mini has a 500gb 7200rpm hard drive and 4gb of ram now which is pretty good. its the baseline mini model with a 2.26ghz core2duo processor. it runs pretty well actually. my imac was bumped up to a new wireless card and 2gb of ram and finally putting on leopard (10.5) so its almost up to date software-wise.
i'm going to get my car registered to me today and transfer it from my dad's name. one more step towards being independent.
yesterday i made spaghetti and sausage. i cooked the sausage and then let it sit in the crock pot cooking all day and when i came home from work it smelled just like my grandma's spaghetti always did. not sure what i did but it was just right.
there's still leftovers which i will eat.
if anyone reads, thank you. you're wonderful, really.
if not, oh well.
