I think the difference is that Hiro isn't a politician. He's part of the people. Trust me, I'm the first person who actually believes that politicians lie.

I think it absolutely matters. If you're going to have something like the police force set up, you need someone with the wherewithal to run it. But it takes more than just smarts to be able to connect with everyone here just like that. Hiro... he genuinely wants to help. It's not about glory or prestige or anything like that. He wants to help.
