I haven't posted since May 28 and that makes Anna a sad mutha.
There's really nothing to talk about, except work. The highlight of my weekend was discussing diaper quality with my hubby, which ended in a wet bedspread because the sprog peed and the diaper he was wearing didn't do much good. SO, expensive diapers are expensive for a reason, and cheap diapers are cheap for a reason. Life Lesson #5 (I haven't learned much... or else I'm just fuck-all stubborn). I've learned this, and I hope hubby has learned this.
The best thing about working in a publishing company is that when you have best-sellers, you get free copies of it delivered to your desk (I've so-far gotten "Girls in Trucks" by Katie Crouch, "Child 44" by Tom Rob Smith, "The Host" by Stephenie Meyer, "When You Are Engulfed in Flames" by David Sedaris, and later to be signed by David Sedaris himself, and a bunch of other books that I wouldn't normally buy, though I have to say I think Marjorie Hillis' "Live Alone and Like It," a reprint from 1937, is delightful), with what is supposed to be a personal note from the CEO of the company. It was a cleverly disguised note--it looked handwritten and it was in blue, but when compared to another note, with the loops and Ts looking EXACTLY the same, you realize there's such a thing as a colored printer or photocopier and that corporate life is about as predictable as your daily trips to the toilet.
