The House Meme
1.) When you walk in your front door, which room do you enter? The living room.
2.)Do you have a dishwasher? OMG, yes. It's a gift from the heavens.
3.) Is your living room carpeted or does it have hardwood floors? Hardwood floors, though an area rug is scheduled to be laid in front of the fireplace.
4.) Do you keep your kitchen knives on the counter or in a drawer? Both. The set knives have a knife block, so that's on the counter, but I've got a bunch of mismatched knives that work pretty well, still, so I keep those in the drawer.
5.) House, apartment, duplex or trailer? Condo townhouse. We wanted a house, but we didn't want the bother of a backyard or a front lawn, though we have a bit of space outside the house for a storage shed, some easy-to-maintain plants, and outdoor tables and chairs.
6.) How many bedrooms is it? Two. Thankfully, there's this great loft which my husband has made his space for all his computers.
7.) Gas stove or electric? Electric.
8.) Do you have a yard? Nope, but since it's a condo complex, we've got lots of sprawling greens outside our property walls and the clubhouse has a pool for the complex to use. Also see answer to #5.
9.) What size TV is in the living room? No TV in the living room (though we have four TVs... five now. See beginning of this journal entry).
10.) Are your plates in the same cupboard as your cups? Yes.
11.) Is there a coffee maker sitting on your kitchen counter? Yes. We have a 4-cup coffee maker there, but we have a 12-cup coffee maker in the cupboards which is brought out when we've got a large group of friends in the house.
13.) What room is your computer in? Hubby's loft and my laptop is everywhere. Sometimes Hubby's laptops are scattered everywhere, too. Our three desktops (Two PCs and one Mac) are stationed.
14.) Are there pictures hanging in your living room? Yes.
15.) Are there any themes found in your home? I dunno. Almost all of our furniture is black. Even the baby's stuff is black, but the second bedroom, which will be the kid's room eventually, is currently white country-themed, with white shelves, old-fashioned couch, white tables, and the huge-ass TV (60"). The kitchen is beige-ish.
16.) What kind of laundry detergent do you use? Arm and Hammer.
17.) Do you use dryer sheets? Yep.
18.) Do you have any curtains in your home? Yes, but only to decorate our bedroom. They're made of a fine, see-through material and have embroidered vines on it. It doesn't keep out the light at all.
19.) What colour is your fridge? Beige. Same color as the kitchen.
20.) Is your house clean? Yeah, miraculously.
21.) What room is the most neglected? The house isn't huge, so I don't think any of it is really neglected.
22.) Are the dishes in your sink clean or dirty? No dirty dishes there. No dishes at all. They're either in the cupboards or in the dishwasher.
23.) How long have you lived in your home? 1 year. ^_^
24.) Where did you live before? An apartment 15 miles away, in Jersey City.
25.) Do you have one of those fluffy toilet lid covers on your toilet? ABSOLUTELY NOT.
26.) Do you have a scale anywhere in your house? Yes. I haven't stepped on it for months.
27.) How many mirrors are in your house? 3. One in each of the two bathrooms and one full-length in our bedroom.
28.) Do you have a garage? No. The parking spaces the condo community offers is outdoors.
