And I don't wanna work. It's Friday, for God's sake.
I suppose you can say this is a meme, but since I don't have any technical knowledge of creating memes, I'll just call it a something.
5 THINGS...
... you probably don't know about me:
1. Music doesn't rule my life. I like it. I love to sing. Kinda like to dance. But ask me to list 7 songs that I like... I won't be able to. I forget titles, I know songs but I don't know who sang them, and when I do know, it's usually because someone told me off-hand, and not because I googled it.
2. I never had a desire to own anything "i". The iPod came out, I could care less (glorified Walkman). The iPhone came out, I puzzled over the long lines at AT&T outlets (like, what's the fuss? And it's so freaking expensive). The iMac... well, when it first came out, I asked, "What's with the i?"
3. My name is mentioned in a published book in the acknowledgement section, thanking me for my help writing it.
4. My father was an alcoholic. God rest his soul, I loved him. Everyone did. Just that he drank too much.
5. I was once engaged to be married and I cancelled it, with the dress, reception, bridesmaids, invitations, THE WORKS ready.
... you probably know about me but have forgotten you do:
1. I hate travelling.
2. I'm a homebody who regularly gets "forced" to socialize.
3. I'd rather buy books than buy clothes.
4. I'm not the least bit athletic.
5. My favorite drink is water.
... I love to do during Me Time:
1. Watch reruns of cop shows and weird dramedies (Dead Like Me) on cable.
2. Shop for books online or at the nearest B&N.
3. Look at pretty shoes, no buying necessary.
4. Get a pedicure.
5. Read a really good book.
... I do at work that isn't work:
1. Write fanfiction.
2. Update my LJ.
3. Lurk in online forums.
4. Talk to my mother.
5. Do crossword puzzles.
... I hate doing at home on a weekend:
1. Doing laundry.
2. Cleaning the bathrooms.
3. Shredding junkmail.
4. Vacuuming the stairs.
5. Doing laundry.
... I miss living with my parents for:
1. Having maids (therefore having my laundry done, my bathroom cleaned, etc., etc.)
2. Mom and bro, and when he was alive, dad.
3. The multitude of pets (cats, dogs, roosters (no joke), fish, and canaries).
4. My mother's cook.
5. Sunday lunch (or dinner) with my relatives at the newest restaurant in town.
... that make me go GRRR:
1. Typewriters. Ever made mistakes on the thing? Ever made many mistakes on the thing?
2. Getting felt up in a crowded train.
3. My former landlady.
4. Being told we have to go NOW without prior advanced notice that we were going, ever.
5. Parking tickets.
... that I want to do but won't/can't because it's too irresponsible/immature:
1. Take two months leave from work (aside from my maternity leave, of course).
2. Play a horrible prank on my ex-landlady this Halloween.
3. Buy all the books I currently want.
4. Buy ten pairs of pretty shoes.
5. Eat hotdogs all day (I'm not allowed at this time because of my pregnancy).
