Well, turns out that thunder over louisville was a flop. Not only to the city, but to me personally as well. First, let me rewind. Early yesterday (1:30) I went down to baxter ave for my buddy Marc's wedding. That and the reception at Masterson's were very nice. Lots of good food and friends from school but unfortunately no prospective women.
Around 5pm I talked to Ashley, whose mother had acquired parking passes to Jewish Hospital's parking lot (she works there.) I was to recieve one and this was great, as I have a new car which I am completely anal about (everyone whose anyone knows how I am about this type of thing.) Unfortunately, the parking lot was full. So after circling around downtown for an hour or so I ended up heading back toward the east end. Ashley's parents felt bad so they bought me dinner at Chedder's, which was very nice of them and not necessary at all.
After chedders Ashley invited me over to walk Bruno, her family's dog. So we did. And then some crazy madman came out of his house and threatened to "put a shovel through his chest"! I can't remember if this was before or after he decided that kicking Bruno was appropriate. I was shocked, but since he appeared to be psychotic and was holding a shovel, I decided not to ask "What was that, son?" with spattered saliva into his face. Well, the idea was funny but I'd never do it. Especially not to someone OLDER than me who is clearly mentally incapacitated.
So anyway, Ashley's dad had a little 'talk' with the guy which in conclusion taught Ashley to always keep a leash on Bruno. So yesterday was a big adventure and while I unfortunately missed thunder, I had a fairly good day all in all. On the sad side, I had a few friends staying at places near the riverfront that I would have liked to have hung out with, but alas there is always next year. Perhaps I can go with that "special someone".. if she exists in a year.
