"A who's-who of Young Hollywood reportedly showed up over the weekend to audition for George Miller's "Justice League of America" movie.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Miller ("Happy Feet") was in Los Angeles for a lengthy multi-day audition process that began Sunday (Oct. 14) and will continue into Monday, pitting more than 35 actors and actresses for roles of Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern and the Martian Manhunter (plus several nonhero parts).

The trade paper lists Adam Brody ("The O.C."), Joseph Cross ("Running With Scissors"), D.J. Cotrona ("Windfall"), "Sky High" stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Michael Angarano, Teresa Palmer ("Wolf Creek"), Max Thieriot ("Jumper") and Common ("American Gangster"), plus "Friday Night Lights" stars Minka Kelly, Adrianne Palicki and Scott Porter as among the names on the casting call sheet.

Feel free to cast the roles in your own mind based on that list.

The assembled names suggest that the Reporter may have been jumping the gun when it reported several weeks ago that Jessica Biel was in talks to play Wonder Woman.

The trade says that Miller is looking for young actors who can grow into the DC Comics characters over a possible series of movies (not that Warner Bros. is going to complain about a lower-costing cast) and that actor interaction is as important as individual role-playing. Miller is expected to share his thoughts with the studio mid-week."

I want to address this because having the chance to once again audition for a superhero movie is my dream. It’s pretty obvious that I wouldn’t and didn’t go out for any of the big names like Superman or Batman, or really any superhero role because I just don’t have the build for it and even with hours of gym time and a muscle suit, I’d still look really out of place. So you can probably place money on the fact that I went out for a nonhero part. I’m telling you guys I am a perfect Jimmy Olsen. I may never get to be a superhero in these movies but I can at least be the sidekick or something, they could throw me a break. I could probably pull off the Flash, if they let me keep my hair brown, but that’s a stretch. The fact my name was even on a list somewhere shows that my people had to grease a lot of palms to make it happen and I’m not complaining. Let’s pretend that I’m actually able to get a part, this could mean a lot for me, a chance to finally get away from the Seth Cohen that I actually am because all of my roles show that. It also means a nice paycheck, a personal trainer, a chance to steal a superhero costume, and of course the envy of all my friends. We’ll find out eventually if I did get a part and assuming I do then it’ll be a big superhero themed party at Dave and Busters on me.
