that being said, i was expressing genuine feeling in it. reading back over it again, i fail to locate this self-pity you detected. moral indignation perhaps... i don't see the problem with this. it is important to see the difference between asserting moral superiority via argument in one instance, without presuming superiority as a person. there are, although relativists would disagree with me, arguable moral absolutes.
you actually seem to be the one suggesting that this guy was almost of a 'lower class' (a peasant?) and shouldn't be expected to be held accountable for his actions, however slight. then you go on to imply that I'M the one thinking i'm better than he is, or that i'm not human or something. we are all african apes, don't think i am not perfectly aware of this. i can still rant and rave pompously about someone being a dickhead on my livejournal.
if i actually knew who you were and you weren't just jumping in for a stab, i'm sure you wouldn't take issue with my choice of words.
