Well, everyone knows now, but I guess I'll say it officially. On May 1st, I will be General Manager of WXOU. I'm happy about it. I can cross another thing off of my list of goals. I was talking to my mom about it and she said that she knew ever since i was playing with "my first sony" making tapes of myself talking that i'd eventually end up doing something with radio.
I have a feeling not everyone at WXOU is happy with me being elected and i'm almost ok with that. love me or hate me,or not even as harsh as hate, dislike me, it's up to you. but regardless of who likes, or dislikes me, i will give 150% to WXOU because i really care about the station. simple enough.
now for a funny story, I was at WXOU and scott crabill stopped by specifically to say hi to me. That made my week. maybe even my month. but i'd like to thank him for that. I look up to that man and hope one day that i can follow in his footsteps.
