Australia Trip
Aussie friends! I'm doing some pre-planning for the trip assuming everything goes off without a hitch. Right now I'm 85% sure I can swing the monies to do this, but I'm still not 100%. I'm going to need places to stay other than hotels to keep costs down where I can. Obviously if nobody can put me up I'll stay in a hotel, no big deal.
I *may* have a friend with me for part of the trip. He's not sure if he can afford it and/or what parts he'd want to be there for. So bearing in mind I might need accommodations for 2 people, who is willing to let me crash based on the following, and if you can help with airport transportation please let me know that too. Again this is just tenative and not in stone. In parentheses are the people I'm aiming to see so if your name is in brackets and you know those dates are rubbish for seeing you, SAY so!
Brisbane/Gold Coast-area: 10/29-11/1 (M night, T, W, Th morning) [Damo?]
Sydney: 11/1 - 11/4 (Th afternoon, F, Sa, Su morning) [Carmen]
Canberra: 11/4 - 11/7 (Su afternoon, M, T, W morning) [Cam & Lara]
Melbourne: 11/7 - 11/13 (W afternoon, Th, F, Sa, Su, M, T morning) [Amanda, Corch, etc]
Cairns: 11/13 - 11/20 (T afternoon, W, Th, F, Sa Su, M, T morning) [Whoever is going to the party]
Also if your name is on this list and you're going to be in one of these other cities, let me know so I can skip the cities I've already been as it costs me ~$300 per city I visit once I'm in the country.
This is literally 20 minutes of poking around on travel sites so I may throw this out the window in a week. If it turns out that Damo/Carmen/Cam&Lara can't weasel this or are going to Cairns then this becomes *super* easy as I have to just hit Melb & Cairns which frees up a week to possibly do someplace in Europe.
