yeah, you know what, thats great and all, but it's your belief, a belief that I do not share. Be honest with yourself for a moment, this is Texas, one of the most conservative states in the US, they will not re-abolish the death penalty. In my belief, what if a person on death row is mentally incapacitated or in some altered state of mind that they would not necessarily know that what they did was wrong? What about the money that is going to feed that convict? Couldn't it prove to be better spent, say on the Federal Deficit, Social Security, or the impoverished citizens that live here?

Also, why do you comment on every single journal entry I write, and it always seems because you disagree with what I have to say. That is why I have a journal, so I can express MY opinions. If you disagree, that is your problem, sounds like a personal problem to me, I have never met you, and you don't see me commenting on your journal, namely because I do not read it. It is becoming quite a nuisance to read how you think I am wrong. You don't know me, you don't know how I think or function, so, seeing as you know nothing about the situation, me, you shouldn't talk about it, because it is made explicitly clear to me that you don't know what you're talking about.
Yes, it is your constitutional right to have freedom of speach and expression, that is why I have this journal, it is my expression, I am entitled to my views and opinions, and you are entitled to shut up, or not even speak in the first place on it. This is my space.

I'm sorry if I offended you. I haven't seen half of my LJ friends and they are from all over the world, so I just don't comment on your LJ but on may other peoples too. If I am making trouble for you, I won't comment anymore. I don't know for some reason you were in my friends list, so I get to see your entries in the friends section and thats the reason. Also thanks for letting me know of my constitutional rights and freedoms. However about the Death penalty issue that you say I don't know anything, you are wrong. During last few months I have spent at least 10 hours a week researching the Death Penalty and as founder of Texas Students Against the Death Penalty, I believe I know the basic issues and reasons that why most of people oppose it. I have talked with at least 200 people of all ages and religions on this issue and know wats going on. I will explain it later. However you said that they will not abolish the DP again in TX. 200 years ago people said same thing about the slavery and they were wrong.100 years ago women said that they won't get the right to vote, and they were wrong, then they said samething about the vicil rights movement and corporations and ..... but they were all wrong. If people want they are able to do everything. I guess this is a democratic government and people decide what will happen. Thats why I am working to educate people about this issue. You are right that we need money to use on budget deficit and social security ad etc. HOwever I have to tell you again that its cheaper to put them on life than kill them. It costs on average three more million dollars to kill that put them on jail. So then we can you the rest to use on the social security and etc. However then I have to tell you that unfortunately the public pinion is changing about this issue, Right know the Catholic church is extremely against the Death Penalty and also all the protestant churches except Southern Baptist Church opposes the death Penalty. Its a Theory that you can't succedd in US without getting the support of churches. So, we have support of most of the churches and right know they are in out favore, so IT IS POSSIBLE MY FRIEND. The polls show that since last 4 years the number of catholics who support the DP has droped from 70 percent to about 40 percent right know. I can't tell you everything here and as you said its your belief and right to decide hat to do and I have to say that you are right. I suggesst you to research more on this issue and learn more. Get active and met some victim family members and murder family members then you will get a clear image.

" Why do we kill people who kill people to show that killing people is wrong?" Please explain it to me if you want.

Also I'm sorry because I left you comment and I won't leave any more comments for you.
Thanks
Hooman

hey, I never said you were wrong, I personally know I hate being told I'm wrong, I think it's rude, so I make a point of not doing it to other people, I never said you didn't know anything about the death penalty, I know for a fact that you do, cuz I saw pictures and stuff of oyu doing the protest over spring break. I just said that I don't think it will be abolished in this all so conservative state we live in very soon.
As I am mentally incapacitated from the amounts of medicine I'm on right now, I don't really have much to say about what you said, but its cool that you know all of that, its always great to have a passion.
I don't care if you comment, once more, freedom of speach, just don't always tell me how my beliefs are wrong, adn we'll get along just fine...

ok, I won't say you are wrong from know on and I will just give you the facts and then you decide what ever if you want to believe it or no. Sorry if I was rude.

However on the point of DP again. Yes you are right that its very hard that Texas change it. But don't forget that there is a higher office called Supreme Court and if we can make them to abolish the DP all the states should follow it, wether if they like it or no. Supreme court abolished the execution or Juvenile and Mentally ill in two different cases during last 4 years. This is a very very very bif progress for us, Specially a supreme court with majority of republicans. SO impossible can be possible. Let us hope that it is possible. In case if in future you decided that you oppose DP, we are haing protests each month on the execution days and and you are welcome to join us. There are many ISA kids coming to our protests right know

ok
good bye
