The start of Symphone
A teenage girl stood in the passenger section of the dirigible, she cut a remarkably professional figure for someone so young, that is until an observer caught sight of her Chuck Taylor footwear. She looked quite ready to bounce out of her trainers with shoulder length brown hair swaying around her head as she stood next to a tall skinny man with messy hair of the same color. He glanced down at the girl, resisting the urge to grumble something about paper work to her for what would have been the 4oth time that morning.
She just looked so excited. 'That's the same look she had on her face the first day of school, right before she learned that we would not be staying with her for the day.' As he remembered the tears he shuddered, causing his daughter to peer over at him. A happy smile flashed across her face brightening her blue eyes, he would hold off on his grumbling for a bit and give her happiness as much time as he could.
'Mom and Dad are finally letting me join Torchwood. Well Dad grumbled a lot and made plenty of frustrated noises while putting on his shoes but whatever. He'll get over it as soon as he sees how well I do today.' She could hardly wait for the transport to fully stop before getting out.
"Symph-!!" She didn't mean to be rude to her father but she truly wanted to get into the office as soon as possible. There where people she had to meet aliens she had to learn about and later hunt down. Torchwood Tower was only two blocks from the transport station. Her thoughts where a whirl as her father's long legged stride brought him to were she had stopped.
'The front doors.' Before her where large iron doors she wondered how any human could open something that looked so heavy.
"If you're wondering, they are pull doors my dear." He said snarkily as he readjusted the glasses on the bridge of his nose. He was irritated to find that he was actually starting to need them.

So this would be the start of my Doctor Who fanfiction. hopefully it is good and if anyone has any constructive criticisms please feel free to tell me/ I'm trying to improve my writing style any way I can.
Also I realize that snarkaly most likely is not a word but I like it, so yeah.
