By now it has become fairly obvious to me that I have a pattern when it comes to my writing. I don't know why, but for the last few years I seem to have done the vast majority of my writing in Vermont. (And in particularly bad phases, my only writing happened in Vermont.) This isn't a conscious choice. I'd love to be able to write more here at home, especially now while I'm actually in a more manic phase again.
The problem with this pattern, you ask? I don't live anywhere remotely near Vermont. Same continent, admittedly, but a whopping 21-hour drive away. And plane tickets are expensive, not to mention I don't have much leave time stored up at work yet. So I tend to visit Vermont only once a year, for about a week.
The good news? That week is coming up in less than a month. :-D
