Munday for Charloft

What sorts of problems have you encountered with developing/playing/writing your characters?

My biggest problem is conveying who my characters are. I should be clearer when I say this, It's conveying who they really are. All of my characters have multiple layers and sometimes it's hard for them to display them to others. Someone may seem shallow and completely harmless, but that's only because that's what they want you to see. I don't really want to include ooc notes, because that would reveal more than my character is comfortable with revealing. The only way to get to know them better is to get past the facade.

Some characters are easier than others, but a few of my main ones are really terrible at showing who they actually are.

I also have trouble playing with other people. It's easier when you know what to expect, but when you don't that can be hard to deal with for some people. I would love to throw this girl into something she can't get out of, or to force a psycho to be honest for a day (which I know I can do on my own), but I like interacting with other people- I like wrenches to be thrown into my plans.

I have PB problems, most of my characters don't look like models or celebrities. They each have a very distinct look, and I doubt I could ever find a PB that looks exactly like them.

One last thing: I need to stop giving up! At the end of the day, the character is mine. It shouldn't matter that one or two people hate the character. They are my creations, so I have final say in what happens to them. I can tweak, yes,. but giving up should never be an option. (I bet I'll conveniently forget this!)
