Originally uploaded by jigarne The show was at the Waiting Room located along Maple Street, maybe 6 blocks from my friends' house. This was pretty awesome, being able to walk to and from the concert. Our group of fans had a good turnout, I think ten people. Dave, Nicole and I went to the in-store at Homer's before the show proper. It was okay, we were pretty far back and Roger and P.H. weren't elevated at all so we couldn't really see, but we could see better than we ended up being able to at the venue. There was also a little kid shouting out requests for Andele and Mekong which was pretty cool. We left before getting anything signed because the line looked like it was going to be pretty long. Maybe this was a mistake, since Roger never came out after the show like I assumed he would (I don't blame him, he probably had a long day).

I ended up taking my camera to both events but only took pictures at the show proper. I've made two sets of these pictures, one with pictures of the band, and one of pictures of us and randomish stuff. It was a little difficult getting shots of the band partially because of a huge wall that I will get to in another paragraph. I did feel a little bad about not trying to get any pictures of the opening band since their frontman ended up asking me if I got any pictures of them after the show when he saw my camera. I guess I just felt more like hanging out with my friends than fighting a crowd at that point. They (Anonymous American) did a good job opening up, but I've been to shows of theirs where the crowd isn't quite so cramped so I figure I can get some shots of them in a situation like that again, that is unless they break up or something like that before I have the chance.

The setlist was good, and it was great having a large group of friends to go to one of their concerts with again. The only problem was the venue. The area near the stage was way too crowded (a sign of growing popularity or just that they were there on a Friday night?), and there was a big wall in the middle of the bar that blocked the view for perhaps a quarter of the people there, that sucked hard, since we were part of that quarter. It felt more like we were hanging out at a bar listening to a CD than going to a show, but we had fun despite, and I got good pictures as well, so all was not lost. I just hope they'll play Sokol again sometime and perhaps maybe they'll get upstairs, that would be super cool.

I'm don't really have much more that I can think of to add to the report right now, but if I do it'll probably end up in the comments section if someone reminds me of something.

Oh yea, they ran out of Bud Light maybe halfway through the concert (not that I drink that, folks I was with did).
