Interesting news from my Dad.
My Dad told me a couple of weeks ago that he was contacted by a movie studio who wanted to use his house as a location for a new Australian movie starring Toni Collette and Keisha Castle-Hughes. My Dad lives in this old whitewash mansion near the Glenelg seaside in Adelaide, which has been split into four separate houses. Anyway, he moved out of his house the other day so they could start decorating etc to get ready for filming. They are going to pay him $6000 and put him up in a nice Glenelg apartment for the four weeks or so that they will be using his house. His one stipulation about letting them film there was that he be allowed to visit while they were doing shoots.

I wish I wasn't so shy and stuff coz I would like to go and watch them film some scenes, but yeah I'll just live vicariously through my Dad on this one. Actually, I think I'm gonna have to at least get my Dad to get Toni Collette to sign my copy of Velvet Goldmine for me (my fave movie of all time). :D I am so gonna force him to ask her to sign my Velvet Goldmine DVD.
update: Just rang my Dad and he said he will ask Toni Collette to sign my DVD. Now I just need Christian Bale, Ewan Mcgregor, Eddie Izzard and Jonathon Rhys Meyers and it will be perfect. :P
It'll be pretty trippy when the film is made if I go and see it coz it'll be like, "that's my Dad's house!". I'll be like Mr. Bean or something, in the theatre, keep turning around to the ppl around me and pointing. :P Nah.
