It stretched for miles -
The gorge with its mossy teeth.
She wondered if its reason was equal to its wingspan.
Two overheads for eyes, and a mouth of tranquil evergreens.
Enclosed by pine cones, we sat in the protective palm -
this was the being some called, "God's backyard."
She felt like a pest to the local humming bee and her voice
stayed silent, as silent as a weed.
I visited Red River Gorge, for a 4 1/2 mile hike yesterday. It was awesome.
I went with my friend Travis. Thanks Trav, by the way. I needed the fresh air.
