You gotta keep on keeping on
Long day. One of my co-workers was working on a 6 month contract which ended today. We got on so well and I really miss her. After she left she texted me from the car to say she missed me! I was in charge of presents, so I got her a photo album, two bottles of wine and a plant for the garden at her new house. :(
All the muckity mucks were at work today. I helped out in the baby room at lunch. At the same time the higher ups were walking around outside looking at the new play area that's almost finished. the babies were all standing at the windows, fasinated by all of them! It was so cute to see the line of babies with their faces pressed to the windows.
One of my favorite babies pointed to the tattoo on my ankle and said, "Flower." Awww!! I didn't know he knew that word! He's just so cute. When I drop off paperwork in that room, I always give him a little cuddle.
I worked half a day on Tuesday. I drove up to Swindon to go shopping. I went to a million stores but couldn't find a thing I liked. I really don't like the new bohemian - gypsey look that all the stores have. I found a nice outfit for work at Littles, but I kept thinking how they're one of the stores that buy from factories that use child labor.
I went to my first Friends of the Earth meeting on Tuesday. It was great! Twelve interesting people and one lone loonie. The people were really nice and it was interesting. I've decided to join.
