what a fuss.
So, the company's been counting down to something. One of the managers let it slip a week or two back that it's our new logo. Every time we leave our computer idle, a screensaver showing a massive countdown displays (including milliseconds) I was absolutely sure that it was the countdown to death... or at least our impending termination but no! A new logo.. so much fuss over this. Anyway, today is the day that they unveiled it. It's really... not that different... or great. It's still the walking fingers but its just an oblong shape instead of a circle, because we're a 'digital' company now. They even stole my mousepad with the old logo on it and left me a new one. At the door, there was balloons and a 'yellow carpet' (hurfderf) and I was accosted by some woman and had this envelope thrust into my hand with a promise there was presents at my desk...they had left a new travel mug, pens, mousepads and a pamphlet about the logo. Don't they have something more important to do?? Apparently not.

Holy crap I have a sore in my mouth and it's making my life hell. If this horrible pain continues, I am going home. That is all.
EDIT: I think I shall withdraw all previous negativity about LOGO DAY. People dressed in fancy tuxedos complete with white gloves just came around with coffee and CRAVE CUPCAKESSSS all with yellow icing... oh yellow pages. You never cease to amaze me.
