Just like any other day

Ahh yes Valentine's Day....Well guess what - who cares?! I hope that everyone got the flowers and dinners and chocolates they were all hoping for though....but I had a conversation the other night that really clinched my thoughts on this holiday. ( I will explain further in).

So, because of extenuating circumstances, I'm not really celebrating today, but it's ok. I've actually decided that Valentine's Day is a greeting card holiday designed by women around the world to have one day to make men fawn all over them. In retrospect, it is also one obligatory day for men to see women in sexy lingerie. But here's my point - sure every woman loves to be recognized and get flowers. But as I was hanging out with some people from work this weekend, one of my co-workers, Jacob, posed a very poignant question: Would you rather get roses on Valentine's Day or just a random day of the year? Straight away, I say a random day. Why? Because a man who takes the time and the effort to think of his woman and bring her flowers or something thoughtful on a day when no one, no form of media, or any other influence is reminding him to do so....well that's just much sexier to me. I mean honestly and again in retrospect - what man wouldn't appreciate a woman busting out with some hot maid's uniform or something on a random day when he's not expecting it? Yeah men...close your mouths, open your eyes and stop drooling on the keyboard....it's an analogy.

Anyways in other news, I had a great time last week at the Trainer Outing I planned. Some people came, mostly the fun people, and we had drinks and appetizers beforehand at a sports bar. I loved hanging out with my managers and watching them get drunk lol. Broomball was a blast, and Bethy you would be proud to know I turned out to be the only female representing for the sport. My manager Ron was totally hilarious and running all over the place, and everyone kept sliding and falling. I wish I had a camera to re-live the fun. I did bang up my elbow pretty bad when I attacked Jacob over the ball and we fell, my arm behind his back. My bruise is so huge and green and black that my elbow looks like it's decomposing or something lol. It totally took me back to Ultimate Days.
I remember Jeff purposely tripping and pushing me all over the place, and Gary and Tom running around with bare feet in the mud. I also remember being terrified that Jen would take me out and really hurt me, but I guess I took care of that on my own. Ahh the good old days. I definitely could have done without tearing my ligament though....that really sucked.

Anybody have any new, fun survey things? It's time for more fun stuff - maybe I'll make one up.
