Or, so I've heard. And it's almost June. Somehow.
*Antiques Roadshow and Celebrity Antiques Roadshow on Pluto is now on the episodes filmed after Covid started. I remember the spacing and etc, but it's really weird and actually kind of annoying to see them doing this in the show. And they're watching the auctions on iPads from parks and estates all socially spaced out instead of being in the auction room, which may be what really is annoying to me. lol It's an odd reaction, I think. But also, they're rerunning the same ones frequently, which they don't usually do.
They still have the visits to historic and interesting sites, so I'm happy.
*Someone whined too much about not enough rain here. Jerks. The last 1.5 weeks we've had rain off and on. And on. And on. My stall runs are lakes. I have random water in in barn. I have to be careful walking to the barn in case I slip and fall on my ass. The horses have been in the small pasture since May 12th to save the big back pasture from getting torn up.
It is nice to have rain and actual grass growing in the pasture.
*Went to a show with Zolar weekend before last. We learned some good things. Had a really harsh judge. For some reason the first day they had two judges (Which they don't/shouldn't at my level for regular shows), and K had some amusement reading the difference between the two. But, K was there this time (she usually doesn't come to my shows), and we worked on things like me being more relaxed and having better posture.
Zolar was also tense, so wasn't loose over his back. And then the second day he was so slow on his second test because he was tired from being stressed. Also, tests at a show are always more tiring than at home.
But, K says she wants to come ride him the day before our lessons this summer and get him more consistently working through and doing changes.
*Managed to pick up a screw in my truck tire at the show. Luckily, I didn't notice until a week later, when I went to drive the truck, and she was like, dude there's no air in my tire. Thank God for a slow leak because the show was 4.5 hours away from home.
*You know that thing where you think the cats peed in the laundry room, but then you realize it's just your manky barn clothes from yesterday? Yeah, all this rain is making it feel like we're in Houston. But without the nearby Costcos.
