I got back from the barn tonight in time to see the end of women's short program- our girl, and the girl from the ROC. Ours did okay, but did fall once.
But OMG, that little girl from the ROC. I was amazed and in awe. It was so quiet, and perfect, and graceful, and powerful, and all the things, OMG. There really are no words. And this is has to be her first year in seniors since she's 15. Hopefully she'll be around for a long time, like some of the pairs Russia has had. Although the talking heads say that the field there is so deep, but even then she's above them all.
Interesting that singles juniors can be up to 19 years old. I suppose that gives kids a chance to decide when to move up to seniors when they're ready and not be pushed into it.
Point is, though, watch her. She rocks like a rocking thing.
