One afternoon it was gorgeous, and I had time to go to Coleman Park in Sulphur Springs. It's around a lake-which appears mostly manmade, but still neat.
It made me a bit homesick. The way the grass was trimmed up to the full trees, many of which were evergreens reminded me of parks I went to with classes in college.

So, after I looked at this little 'waterfall', I turned around to the other side thinking about how I had only seen ducks and geese, and no other species there when...bush shakes! I jumped back, then saw part of a ~2 inch thick dark grey snake body on a rock. Yikes! Yes, there were other species there!!

They had this great other section for kids. Had a big hill with one large tunnel for the path,

and some little tunnels for kids, as well as tunnel slides (out of frame, to the right),

with cool random steps on it and neat flowers.

To the left of the large tunnel was a larger waterfall leading to a slightly winding stream that the kids could play in. It was the neatest place. (although the only bathrooms in the whole large place were by the kid area).
