Sunday Night.
Today wasn't too bad. I had planned on cleaning the arena and doing some raking to get footing back on the outside track, but after I took a nap I hoped out. lol
You ever not want to do something active because you feel really clean and don't want to take another shower? yeah.
Did you know that it's possible to get too much ginger in something even if you follow the recipe? I even used a scale purchased specifically for this. But, today I added a medium fried egg on top, and that really helped. Tasted good. Also, ginger feels solid in the belly. Weird.
Halloween Wars have just shown me that I can toast marshmallows with a cooking flame-that you use to brûlée things. I want to do that. My fireplace does the too hot right next to it, and cold a bit further away. I have a fire pit on the porch, but then I'd have to sit out there until it goes out (for safety).
I love the Halloween cooking shows, especially Halloween Wars. Still a bit confused that they are all in late Sept/early Oct, though.
We started small groups at church. I'm in an online Sunday early evening group. It's kind of cool to be able to meet with others and talk about things. As well as what we're supposed to be talking about, which is being on a Pilgrimage at home, based on a book Pilgrim Heart: The Way of Jesus in Everyday Life. :)
They said we may go back into the Nave in a few weeks-we've been online only so far. Not sure what that will be like. Most likely no choir still. Not quite sure if I want to go because a) it's weird when there's no choir to be in, and b)right now the classes ("Sunday school") are online. (So happy I can take them! In fact, there are a few of us from choir that are really happy with the online classes right after church so we can go to them. Usually classes are during choir practice so we can't go).
Tess' cart training was set back a month because of a personal issue with the trainer. Hopefully he'll be okay to start beginning of Nov. *crosses fingers*
Work is work. We're seeing a lot of kids sent home from school because they coughed once, or had a sore throat, or had a 'fever.' There are all sorts of rules about whether they can go back, when, where, how, etc. And they're changing, just to make it more exciting. lol wheee....
