Rain in Oregon where I grew up was mostly nice polite rain that would gently fall from the sky for a few days.
Rain in Texas is bold in your face rain that dumps as much as possible in a few minutes. When it gets really bitchy, it will do this for more than one day in a row. This was last week. :/
All the shiny is indeed water. And yes, that is a pump to pump some of it out.
Where the pump hose goes, adding to the already wet barnyard.
Horse runs.
A view from my porch.
This is a grassy area between my driveway and the barnyard pasture. It's never gotten this deep.
Wheee! And I hadn't gotten new mud boots yet, so I had to be careful not to step too deep with the left boot because of the hole at the ankle. lol
But, dry now, yay! Give us a few more weeks, and we'll start complaining about the dry again, don't worry.
