*Last weekend went to the pilates for dressage clinic in NM. This is our third year, and Janice seemed to be good with our progress. Although she promptly gave us more things to work on. Yay!
Turns out I was leaning back a little too far, and not pulling up my pelvis enough. Also, seems the sitting trot really is going to take a lot of work. lol But there are some tips.
*Apparently we were transported to Oregon while we weren't looking. It's been raining off and on the last few weeks. I have water everywhere. Poor Zolar has had his run mudded for the whole time. About 25% of their pasture is also wet. :(
*My sister left last Tuesday after having been here for about 2 months. Kind of weird that she's not here, although she spent a lot of time studying. She leaves for Mexico next week for a month of yoga training.
(no, I don't do yoga. I personally hate yoga, and prefer pilates. But I do like yoga for other people lol)
*Kitty still has more energy than a three year old on crack. She likes playing fetch, but when the ball lands somewhere gross, her expression cracks me up.
*Zolar is acting oddly. It may be the mud affecting his feet or making him more sore (in addition to the soreness from the clinic), or maybe getting his shots and everything Tuesday made him sore. But he was a little worse today from 2 days ago. I texted my trainer, and she didn't help me be calm - she kind of brought up what I was frightened of. Going to see how steady he is tomorrow. If not too bad I'm going to call the vet Monday morning.
I've lost two horses to weird shit, so this is very stressful to me.
*My plantar fasciitis was much better while in NM, probably because I was wearing boots with inserts in them most of the time. The sandals I wear aren't great for inserts. :) I have marbles coming in the mail to work on strength for my feet. lol
*I thought about letting Kitty sleep outside because she's barked while in her crate a few nights this week. But it was cold last night, I do like her inside, and she's quietly sleeping at my feet right now. (yes, we're still working on not barking/whining/lunging at the cats).
*How much time is the best amount to spend with an outdoor dog? She does love to run and bark at the horses :(, but they often encourage it cough*Rex and Tess*cough.
*Had a John Barrowman birthday at the clinic. They made Doctor Who shirts, and then put pictures of JB everywhere, even going to far as to make JB face masks. LOL Then they put a stand up Cap'n Jack in my bedroom. ;)
My clinic people are awesome. And crazy. :D
*I have choir tomorrow. Don't want to go to bed, though, because I'm worried. Will do my best.
