there's really no good way to end an apocamovie

Just watched the new one on Netflix, and even when I knew it had to be the end, I wanted to know what else. But they did do it in a good way. We never learned what happened, but I wasn't left thinking WTF in a bad way. There were some tropes, but they were slid in fairly nicely. I found myself thinking it would be a good series, with all the packing in of story they did, but that always jumps the shark, so maybe not. lol

I did find myself thinking that there are more movies now where we are part of the survivors, we don't know what's going on, just snatches of intel here and there. Sometimes I find it frustrating, but this time I didn't really, and I think I know why. I think it's impossible to have a complete information blockout. There are always the guys with the ham radios, and refugees, and the clues from weather/how information and people are moving, etc. So the movies where there is just nothing drives me nuts.
