Lesson today
Today I rode Zolar while K rode Tess.
We did the first 1st level test after warming up well, and we did good! Sure there are things that need to be improved, but we figured out the extensions in trot and canter, and he was up off his shoulders! whee!
K helped me with figuring out how to get her to do a straight centerline. Also, she agreed that Tess was being a cranky mare. And that it was okay to be 'mean' if I needed to as long as it was essentially dipassionate. Don't get emotionally involved. Also, start on some mare supplement.
Got a vet appt for Rex next Tuesday since I want to make sure he's doing okay on the meds. (What meds he gets because he's a picky bugger.) He's not limping really anymore, but he's also not started shedding. Not really. And the other horses are *well* on their way. Also, his topline is still not quite what I would like. Vet's probably going to say he's fine, but I'd rather be sure.
Accountant called this evening. He's definitely friendly and understands how I feel about my businesses. But not a good news call. Will probably be turning in my taxes late. Oh well. Life happens.
Face Off is really good tonight. They're doing creepy evil families, and both teams did great. Glad I'm not a judge.
