Creepy
So this afternoon while waiting for my coffee, I was checking my email on my phone. (as one does) And I saw an email from K- G- . Stopped me cold, WTF? This is the aunt that just died last week. And just for a brief second I wondered if the news had been wrong. But no, it was her brother, who had apparently gotten into her account, emailing that her funeral is in January (so long from now, but maybe because she has a kid on the other side of the country).
The email is still in my inbox, and it freaks me out every time I look at my email list. I need to let them know that I can't come, but he won't get the message if I just reply, and I don't want to touch the email body long enough to copy his email addy.
OTOH, I was starting to wonder if they were going to tell me about the funeral at all, so...
Reassure me one more time it's okay to miss her funeral? (Not to mention my expenses were high this month, so my income dropped. See, right there, that's a reason.)
ETA: I did it. Sent him a short but pleasant email saying I couldn't make it over there, and I that I was thinking about them all. *cries*
