My maternity leave will be up soon. Six weeks really isn't all that much time. After a lot of discussion with Michael, as well as some negotiations with the DA's Office (...that is, with Jack) I've made a pretty big decision.

I'm taking a leave of absence from work, through the end of the year. I'm excited, but a bit nervous, too.

It is. One I've been wondering about and debating since I found out I was pregnant... Right now, though...I just don't want to leave him with someone yet.

Telling Jack was....

...well.

Not so easy.

I'm sure it wasn't.

It's not the early 90s, though, so he couldn't throw too much of a fit. I've heard he was much more difficult back then.

And he's going to be Tommy's godfather, so...

So he basically has to suck it up.

I hate to put it that way, and I do feel bad about the work I won't be around to do.
