OOC: it's Connie's birthday, so people should visit or call or send emails!!Connie's 34th birthday started off nicely, with a kiss from Michael and the promise of dinner at one of her favorite restaurants. He knocks on the already open door, though at this point their lunches have become so routine that knocking is more habit than necessary.

He sits down and for a moment he ponders what he should do about his own lunch since the birthday girl decided to eat a sandwich, alone. Hmph. Surely she's learned better habits from him by now. But this has him wondering what other birthday goodness she's had today. And ohhhhh he does love to gossip. He can chat to Alex about it later. His giddiness will ensue!
"Sooooooo," he says in his so-I'm-nosy-and-your-friend tone which is mostly playful, "why are you eating a sandwich all alone for lunch on your birthday? Are you not into the birthday thing or was there some fantastic foodage earlier?"

He laughs, "but you know I'm practically drooling at the idea of four star dinner. Lucky, lucky birthday girl." He wonders if it's too soon to demand Danny Ross for a raise - he's got cravings for expensive food now!
...he also needs lunch. He wonders if the pretty blonde ADA has lunch plans, but then, he still doesn't know where Ms. Novak's office is exactly. He tries not to stare at Connie's sandwich.

"Speaking of good times..." and now he's lowered his voice into nearly gossip-mode. Connie should know this by now. "...let's say there's someone that caught my eye. However, we're sort of professionally linked." He pauses, then adds, "Not Alex." He reclines back a little, bringing his fingers together in a point out of idle habit since he's in that over-thinking mode. He really needs a good case to work on - something to put his brain to good use rather than such things. "So, for the sake of professional boundaries and all, would it be weird to say....try to find a certain ADA's office and see if she has lunch plans?"
