I guess it would be pretty unprofessional to call in sick the rest of the week to get ready for the wedding...

*sigh*

At least I got approved to have Friday off, months ago.

Oh, and I met with one of the new ADAs the other day, Jeff Bennett. Casey, you'll be happy to know that he seems very competent. *smirk*

I vote yes on the idea to play hooky.

Except that my playing hooky would mean more work for Michael. We're going to be gone for two weeks on our honeymoon, so we're both trying to get a lot done in a little amount of time as it is.

Pffft. Delegate. Besides, you're crazy to try and squeeze all your work and wedding preparations in at the same time. *smirks*

We do delegate, as much as we can. You know how civil service is. For every murder we prosecute, there's a handful more on the backburner.

With that logic, it'll never be done. So relax with the work. Go on, Connie, be a rebel. Be a rebel, Connie. And yes, I'm currently the devil on your shoulder. *smirks*

*totally joking*

You're a bad influence. And dangerous to lawyers (don't think I've forgotten about that guy you kicked in the crotch).

Yes, I am.

But you know, that was his own fault. If people want to chase me, sing to me, annoy the Hell out of me, then they will get what's coming to 'em. And if you're a guy, which he... apparently was, then it's gonna be a swift kick to your favourite place. *smirks*

Key word - was. I heard what that kick did to him. Heard he goes by Lara now and works in a drag bar.

Oh, well. At least it wasn't an ADA. One less obnoxious defense attorney to worry about.

*snorts*

I'm impressed that I managed to do that. Not just me, I might add. I was pregnant at the time, so it was also Ellie. It was a team effort, really.

Although, in my defence, I think that's rumour, Connie. Well... I hope so.

*snicker*

Good on Ellie.

As long as she doesn't kick anyone while going down the aisle with her basket of flowers...or trolley of flowers...or however she's going down the aisle.

A quick learner.

Aw, she was really upset about that. I blame David for making her so sensitive.

Crashing isn't the same as deliberately kicking. *chuckles* I'm sure she'll be fine. If something weird happens, it'll probably look cute on the wedding video.

You sure? Because I would like to think I accidentally crashed my foot into his groin. *smirks*

It's not really if so much as it is when. You've met her father.

*laughs* Accidentally. Right.

Well, if it's inevitable, it's not her fault, either. I'll blame David.

That's the spirit. Blame David. It's becoming a theme.

I'm sure he's used to it.
